Be Wary of Equifax Settlement Phishing Scam

Another breach, another opportunity for scammers. An estimated 147 million people were impacted by the Equifax data breach in 2017. This July, Equifax agreed to a settlement to end state, federal and consumer claims over the breach. Scammers are now using phishing attacks and spoofing Equifax’s settlement page to get unsuspecting victims to provide personal and financial information.
